More flights...

Well the flight from Fiji was fairly uneventful. I did get put next to a rather large guy so it could have been more comfortable, but overall not too bad. I got through customs and immigration with only a quick question about why I had been to Pakistan, but I wonder how many lists my name is now on... Regardless, I went and checked into my next flight which will take me to North Carolina overnight. I had about 10 hours to kill, so I did the sensible thing and jumped in a cab, and went to Long Beach. Why Long Beach? It seemed close on the map, and it was the setting of my favorite tv show, Arrested Development.

It was an awesome trip to see the Beach, the Queen Mary and even some loose seals. Well, time was getting on, so I decided to find somewhere to have some dinner. After walking past many resteraunts (I think Long Beach might be a bit of a hot spot...) I got a table for one at Outback Steakhouse. A bit of a safe choice I suppose... The meal was ok, the beer refreshing. Given I had plenty of time to get to the airport, I thought I would give public transport a go. I found a metro station (light rail), and caught the train heading towards Downtown. I made it all the way to the airport without being shot once, and I even went through Compton!!) I am once again waiting in a gate lounge waiting for my flight. At least I wont have to fly for a couple of days after this..
